If it hasn’t been done I suspect the chances of you ever being able to claim on the warranty (if you still have one) in the future for it will be slim. Followed the procedures for the DSG oil change! I filled up with 5.5L. I went through the gears P R N D S for the required time at 36C temp. In every gears was 10-15 sec! At 37C I went to open the drain plug, from 5.5l came out 1L! But the oil came strongly after 1l, so I closed it! It is 4.5l now, but it is going strong if I open it! This is DSG stands for direct-shift-gearbox. It’s an electrically controlled dual-clutch automatic gearbox found in many VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group) cars, there are also 6 and 7-speed versions, there is also an 8 speed that came on the A8. The DSG gearbox mainly in the performance cars from each brand such as the RS3/S3, Golf R/GTI or Cupra. At my last oil change, I noticed that there were signs of oil on the belly pan beneath the DSG. I didn't see any obvious signs of leak and started tracing it up and it appears the leak is coming from the plug for the mechatronics unit on the top/front of the transmission. Evidently the fluid can begin leaking through the pins of the connector. 1401 posts · Joined 2011. #2 · Oct 22, 2014. 2007 GTI, DSG. Mine was leaking a little and since I was close to the service interval I went to my shop and had them change the fluid & filter. Sounds like you've been caught, or whoever billed you at the garage had no contact with the workshop. You need to go back and tell them. The 6-speed clutches run in oil, whereas the 7-speed type are "dry". I use a specialty German shop that deals in nothing bu VW, Audi, BMW, etc. They do all of my oil changes, they did my APR tune and intake install, and I had them do my DSG service at 43K as well. If I remember correctly I paid just over 200 bucks for the DSG service. I'd find a shop like this if you aren't going to use a VW dealer. .
